At Polar Insulation, we are looking for a self-motivated, hands-on Operations Manager to lead a team in daily activities.

This foundational position within Polar Insulation is expected to consistently perform high-quality insulation installation in the field during acclimation of company/industry and ensure team adherence to our quality standards in all aspects of operations.  In addition, this role is responsible for on-going training and coaching to junior installers.  The performance of this role will be dependent on the crew’s safety and job productivity/efficiency.  When appropriate, a Shop Manager role will be implemented to assist and report to the Operations Manager.  Role to likely remain hybrid in-office/in-field for foreseeable future. 

This position is one who leads the instruction of daily duties for each crew and reports directly to business owner.  This position will offer significant freedom to design, implement and execute strategies to enable and sustain high-quality team productivity/efficiency.

Typical Hours: Monday-Friday 6:00am-4:00pm with potential for rare need outside these days/times.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

*Assist with hiring new team members to ensure continuity within team and ability to provide exceptional insulation services to our clients.

*Leads crew in daily activities of insulation services.

*Maintains open line of communication with business owner relating to all aspects of operations.

*Addresses conflict resolution as needed within accordance to company policy.

 

Daily Duties:

Safety: Adheres to, stays abreast of and enforces jobsite safety in accordance with federal, state and local occupational health and safety laws. 

Operations: Reads blueprints and specifications to determine job requirements and ensure each crew is advised of project requirements.  Actively integrate within divisional crews (in-field) to ensure adherence to quality standards and efficiency.  Ensure all guidelines are followed with equipment set up and operation.  Provide final inspections of projects and ensure end result falls within our promise of excellence to end user. 

Technical: Track, implement and enforce a safety checklist/maintenance schedule to ensure all vehicles (and equipment within) are properly maintained on manufacturers suggested maintenance interval for optimum safety and performance.  Anticipate future equipment replacement needs, communicating directly to ownership.

Customer Service: Communicate professionally with clients to ensure complete understanding of project and ensure our end results exceed expectations.

Other: Seek continuous improvement in all aspects of position, while remaining open to role modification to leverage individual strengths with company growth.

Physical Requirements:

*Prolonged periods of walking, standing, climbing, kneeling and crawling.

*Work environments may be subject to hot/cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust, hazardous chemicals or vapors and heights.

*Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently

Compensation: $65,000 - $85,000 Annually
